Here in Illinois, it's used by Payday Lenders with great success on installment loans. The way I understand it, there is no real cost involved, just getting an employer to agree. For example, USPS has an allotment program in place already. All the e…

We always offer this to debtors as an option when we commence a wage attachment. There is no real issue with most employers as thier payroll service, ususally ADP is well equiped to handle things like this. The hardest issue is getting the debtor to…

Start small with a NCOA scrub. I would recommend doing a 48 month to be safe. Then I would look at how much you collect from sending additional letters. Postage is getting expensive and my bet is your phone calls are collecting more. Based upon the…

CBC Innovis tends to have great phones especially cell phones. Accurint has better work phones though. As a result we use both through a waterfall process based upon various variables.

Shawn,
A waterfall process is great, but do your people know how to interpret the data that they get from the waterfall. Perhaps having someone come in and give them the training along with some other resources would be beneficial to your firm.

Thanks you.

Shawn, I think some of the great challenges in skip-tracing have nothing to do with the process itself. It may be better to spend 30c on a collectable $70 account than a $280 account that is far less collectable. Once you DO spend the money, if you get 5 possible numbers, how do you make sure they are called effectively (at the right time, only the right number of times etc.) I hope you agree that skip work is one small part of a complex "engineering" problem that has to be looked at in the context of your complete process.
